What Youll Do as a School Psychologist
As a School Psychologist, youll be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, supporting IEP development, and providing consultative services to school staff and families. Youll work as a vital member of the special education team, helping to identify and implement evidence-based strategies to support student growth both academically and emotionally. Your evaluations will inform key decisions that impact the trajectory of each students education.

To work as a School Psychologist in Texas schools, you must:

Hold a Specialist-level degree or higher in School Psychology

Be licensed as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists

Pass the Praxis II (School Psychology Test Code 5402)

Meet all district background check and fingerprinting requirements
